In the end, I’d say the trip was quick overall and definitely better than driving the whole way.

I took the Long Island ferry, and the ride itself was about what I expected, maybe even a little faster. Boarding took a few minutes, but once we were moving, everything felt smooth and easy.

The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that the waiting around before departure felt a bit longer than I would’ve liked. But the actual ferry ride was good and didn’t feel like it dragged on.
